Excellent professional service that I would recommend. Gordon knows his business like no one else. I thought my Lockinvar system was on last leg and I would have to install a new one pretty soon. After his thorough analysis based on computerized information it looks like I may not have to go for full replacement. One thing that I noticed is how quietly my water heater operates. Previous repair people could not achieve such a level or refinement and professionalism.

We called PBS Heating & Air for help with what we were told by another company was a heater that was beyond repair. They quickly came out, assessed the situation, and informed us that we didn’t actually need a new heater! They fixed our heater that very same day and even cleaned up a mess left by someone else that had kept us without heat for over two months. We can’t say enough about the kindness, expertise, and professionalism of this company—it was truly exceptional service!

Our furnace stopped working in the wee hours recently. The lows are in the 30s, so the house got pretty cold. During business hours I contacted the company that had installed our AC unit last year. No response. So we endured another cold night with no heat. The next morning, with still no response from the company I’d originally contacted, I called PBS. I was told a technician would be on the way shortly. After 20 minutes or so, the technician called to say he would be at my home in “5-10 minutes.” And he was. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem, explaining everything along the way. Even though the price of a service call seems a tad high, I would not hesitate to call PBS again. I highly recommend them. Professional. Competent. And most importantly, responsive!

Our furnace was out for 3 days and we were completely ignored by a certain repairman recommended to us. We finally called PBS at 4:45pm one day and by 6:30pm the same night, Gordon had fixed our problem. So impressed with his concern, as well as his knowledge and professionalism. I wish more businesses followed his example.

Had a good experience on a furnace inspection- I called once and someone answered (a Pagosa miracle). We scheduled the inspection a few days out, the tech called in the morning to confirm a time, he showed up at that time. The inspection was quick but thorough and he didn’t try to sell me on anything that wasn’t wrong or make up a problem that didn’t exist. I had a question about the final invoice total, called the office (was answered again in one try), and the question was resolved without any hassle. This is what you would hope for from a professional service but what you rarely find. I’m sure I’ll use them again in the future.
