when you hire a company to move your belongings,you expect them to take care and pride. Knowing that there might be some special items. Maybe at the very least ask! I used Peasley transfer and storage to move me. They broke several items that were from my grandmother in Germany pre-war.. I understand that things happen when they ask me for a breakdown of all the items I was very fair in my ask! Their offer 52.50! Beyond heartless it's a slap in my face and now instead of a fair settlement beyond the loss of the items I have to take them to court?? We have moved many times in our lives, some local and some across the country. Peasley was by far the worst movers we have ever experienced. During construction of our home, we had Peasley move and store most of our household goods and furniture. The original packing and moving crew had a foreman that was outright rude and condescending. We came close to kicking him out of the house. There were several pieces of furniture that were brand new, and we asked them to take great care. That didn't happen. When the items were delivered, they were damaged. The cause of the damage was clearly poor handling of the items. We have a wood recliner that has survived about 6 moves without a scratch. We were extremely pleased with all aspects of our recent move from Idaho to Arizona. From the day that Paul Buckles sat down with us and went over the inventory and cost data, we were very happy. The packers were fantastic as nothing was even damaged during the shipment. The guys who came and move everything from the house into the truck were all great. Everyone at the Idaho end were on time and got their jobs done quickly. Peasley Transfer was very good keeping in touch with us to let us know the status of the shipment and when to expect it. The crew that offload in Arizona were great! Arrived early, got the job done, and were extremely polite and friendly. Hopefully, this will be our last move!
