We've had a terrible experience with Pella. We ordered 3 doors from them back in October. When they initially came to install the doors, they had to leave because they had "forgotten" to paint the door the correct color. When they came back a few weeks later, the work was poorly done and it's led us to require a complete replacement of all the doors. In addition, the paint on our main door sidelights has completely peeled off. It's embarrassing to have guests come through our main entrance. They're planning to replace our two other doors the first week of March, but no word on our main entry and they have not responded to our requests to be refunded for some of this expense. I wish to share my experience with Boston Windows and Doors, LLC. Dba Pella Windows. I received a postcard about their 0% GreenSky financing in the mail and called to schedule a consultation. (I’ll address the finance bait and switch at the end). When the first sales rep, Tyler, came in November 2021, we chose four doors: two double sliders and two front doors. About a month later, a new sales rep, Ryan, told us the doors were mismeasured, and we had to choose a new set. That was fine, but it should have raised the first Red Flag. Starting in April of 2022, Pella would show up unannounced to begin their work. This was a Second Red Flag that I was able to ignore. Extremely Frustrating Experience with Pella through Lowe’s. We had an awful experience with Lowe’s when we ordered Pella windows and installation services totaling around $80,000. We paid the full amount upfront, trusting Pella and Lowe’s to handle everything professionally, but it was a complete disaster. The windows arrived incomplete and mismatched, and the installation was delayed repeatedly. We were told one window was missing, then broken, then incorrectly sized – all while we were left waiting for months. I had Pella come to my home to make sure measurements for a door were correct, since my daughter was getting married in front if it, and my contractor didn't want to be responsible for any mistakes. They came, measured, we ordered the door (a French door leading out to our garden, cost thousands of dollars), the door arrived just before the wedding, and was smaller than the other doors it was supposed to match. My contractor had no choice but to install it since the wedding was upon us. We attempted to work with Pella to get some type of satisfaction but they blamed us for the mistake and that was that. I suspect different Pella showrooms have different approaches to quality - this was the Natick, MA showroom, and we had dealt with the manager.

We recently installed new construction windows (one of them an enormous custom trapezoid) with the help of Kevin and his team, and we could not be happier. Kevin helped us select a unique style that suited our tastes and needs, and was very patient when we had questions and needed to amend the contract. We appreciated the attention to detail and the great team that Pella sent for the install. They were very considerate of our home and cleaned up nicely after they were done. The windows look amazing, and we look forward to completing future projects with Kevin and Pella
