Penn Museum Parking Garage

It's a very convenient location if you're visiting anywhere nearby, like the Penn Museum. However, you pay for the convenience. It was $28 for a little under 5 hours. The first attendant there was on his phone and a little grumpy when we asked about where we could park. There's construction going on at the garage and there was yellow tape and orange cones everywhere. However, we got a space and the attendant when we left was very polite. The pictures are simply the view from the 4th floor of the garage.

Convenient spot right next to the museum, which is a huge plus when you're lugging kids or don't want to deal with finding street parking. The garage itself is pretty standard - clean enough, well-lit, and easy to navigate. Rates are what you'd expect for a university area lot, nothing crazy but not dirt cheap either. The best part is literally walking straight into the museum without having to hike blocks in the cold or heat. Security seems solid with cameras around. Only minor gripe is it can fill up on busy weekends, so I'd recommend getting there a bit early if you're visiting during peak times.

Total gridlock. Entering cars have to get in line behind exiting cars. Exiting cars cannot pull out because they are blocked by other cars in exit lane. In order to handle this problem, a lot of cars back into their spot to ease exiting. It's real fun waiting for those drivers to park. Worst indoor garage I've ever seen. If you ever do make it to the exit gate, at least the attendant is friendly.

It is a great place to park when you are going to the Ott Center for track and field. It is close by and reasonably priced at 35. It beats the PPA price, especially when you have expired inspection stickers.

I don’t suggest parking here if you’re going to one of the hospitals. It’s $23 for the day, no matter how long you’re there. I was there 2 hours and it was full cost. It is cheaper to park at the hospitals. Also, the staff I interacted with were unkind, which added to the stress of the day. Three stars because it is a decent parking facility, just not the best if you’re trying to park for a medical visit or surgery.
