Peoples Champ Lawn and Landscape

This is a delayed review, I took my time deciding if I wanted to post this or not. I contacted Shane in Fall 2022 for yard clean up before winter. He enthusiastically accepted the job, and the TLDR is that he took money and bailed. I offered a deposit in good faith and paid $200. On the day Shane agreed to show up, he was a no-show. We spent a week trying to figure out a better time for him & team to complete the work but it became an endless series of texts with excuses and delays. After a week we decided to move on and hire someone else and asked for our deposit back. That became a day long text exchange that started with a promise of getting our money back, then increasingly unprofessional messages trying to schedule work as to not give the money back.
