PEP Basement Waterproofing & Foundation Repair

Scott was fantastic! I initially called about a foundation inspection, but after discussing my concerns, Scott helped me realize that wasn’t actually what I needed. In November 2021we had Pep repair 3 basement walls that were bowing inward, and waterproof the outside of the walls. It seemed like everything was better. They had to come back out and patch a spot that was leaking (makes me question the rest of the basement that they worked on). Every spot that they dug out has settled, which is expected, but now almost every connection to downspouts and sump pumps have been stretched apart, and the basement is leaking again as a result. We have contacted them multiple times. They tried to say that anything they didn't directly work on would not be their responsibility. That would be somewhat reasonable, but they dug up all of these drains, damaged an existing one, and the ones they installed themselves are also disconnected. It has been a year, and all

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I requested a quote from PEP to install 40 feet of French drain. I accepted their bid and signed a contract. On the day of the install, I noticed that the drain was being improperly installed. A French drain to work properly must be buried underground. The workers had laid the pipe ON the surface without digging a trench and tried to hide their work with gravel. When I questioned the work, they said I'd have to pay more money to do the job right. I had them remove the pipe and my $400 deposit was returned. I contacted the owner (Lisa) who apologized and said she would personally visit my project site and oversee a re-do if I requested one. The first waterproofing failed as water came up through the vapor barrier seams due to low spots left in the gravel. This was repaired at their cost. My interior structure walls began to crack so they came back to replace wooden shims that collapsed due to the carpenter using wafer board for shims. I paid for half the shims to be replaced ($3,500) and still have large cracks. I called in another person who does this type of work and it will all have to be redone. In one spot the newly shimmed joist was off 9/16th of an inch I have a video that proves that. I am terribly disappointed and only glad I didn't pay for the whole job or I'd be out $7,000. I've called numerous times about a warrantee for my basement with no reply AT ALL. The last time I got, we can't find it, we've changed over our systems. I have original paperwork and she hasn't even asked if there's a problem. I just know they aren't going to stand by their word (paperwork). Been a month.
