On February 9, 2026, during an emergency blue code alert when the temperature dropped to minus 8 degrees, my account was temporarily put on hold due to a pending balance. While I understand the importance of billing accuracy, I had been making consistent partial payments. However, the company's records inaccurately indicated that I had half a tank of oil left when, in fact, I had run out completely. I had a burner tune-up in October; they should know if there is anything wrong with the furnace. I attempted to contact the company for two days to resolve this issue but did not receive a response until Monday, February 11. Great experience with Petro -- professional, timely, quality furnace installation (along with the Aerus Air Scrubber which we highly recommend). Everyone we spoke with was extremely professional and accommodating. We had no heat and they came and assessed our older furnace, scheduled and installed a new one quickly. Can't thank the team enough for assisting us during this cold weather and also being extremely clean and respectful of our home. Thank you Petro!!!

I’ve had a terrible experience with Petro Home Services. On the coldest day of the year (below 0°), my oil tank ran completely empty even though their system showed I was at 80%. Their numbers don’t add up. After my last bill showed ~80 gallons remaining, they supposedly delivered 120 gallons (which should have put me around 200 gallons in a 275-gallon tank). When they finally came out after I ran dry, they only added 110 gallons — and their own records showed the tank as full. That proves their tracking and delivery estimates were wrong. Because they let my tank run empty in extreme cold, my pipes froze. I’m an HVAC tech and got my heat back running myself, but I still had to pay a plumber to help defrost frozen pipes. Stay away from Petro. —-Zero Star—- I called yesterday morning asking for a “technician” to check my furnace that was not working properly in the extreme cold. I was scheduled between 4 and 7 pm yesterday, but I guy showed up at 3 pm, luckily I was home early. He blamed the open lower furnace cover for the malfunction ( I opened it to make sure the furnace switch was on) he put it back, claimed that was the reason for the problem and asked about the oil supply in my tank. I told him that when I last checked a couple of days ago the tank was half full. He double checked and confirmed it. In the meantime the heat was on again, but the furnace was still stuttering. The technician said that was ok blaming the extreme cold and that he would put some antifreeze in the tank. He left and wrote a r

Very good company! The oil delivery guys do what they have to do to make their runs at a maximum of 9 minutes. People are complaining about their driveways being blocked, but sometimes there's snow and cars taking up space on a one way street. Don't listen to the last review for they have unresolved anger issues. Last review had to wait no matter what. Their blocked driveway allowed cars to get by. If their driveway wasn't blocked, the whole road would have been and they would have to wait anyway on the one way street full of cars blocking everything. The best coarse of action was taken for the people who really needed the oil got it. It's 1° out right now and the drivers are out there working 70 hours 7 days. So I appreciate their sacrifices. Some people could be selfish and rather have t
