I am extremely disappointed with Petro. I have called four separate times requesting an oil delivery because I knew I would not make it until Monday. Each time, I was assured that the oil I had in my tank would last until Monday's delivery. Well, here we are—4-degree weather, and I now have no heat with three kids at home. This situation is completely unacceptable. A company dealing with essential services like heating oil should never leave families in these conditions, especially after multiple calls and confirmations. I expected reliability and basic follow-through—neither of which Petro delivered.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I live with my elderly mother who suffers from Parkinson’s disease and other health issues. My house’s heat went out when it was -15 outside. After spending 2 hours on hold, I was told a tech would come between 5pm and 8pm that night. Instead, and without any notice, a tech showed up at 2:30pm and then refused to enter the house and even assess the problem, claiming he was afraid of my cats. I was then instructed by the tech that I needed to call customer service back in order to have them send another person out. I called and waited on hold for over 7 hours and never got a person. I have been a loyal customer for years but this is pure deception and just not right. For all these years I have been with Petro we always sign for a ceiling deal, this year without my consent they signed me up for a fixed plan which basically means I have to pay 43 cents more than any other customer for oil. Like I said I've been a customer for more than 15 years and I have my own problems with their oil deliveries recently but this is beneath them as a company.

UPDATE: I received a call this morning from Donna in customer relations. She was extremely helpful and rectified the situation. I was very pleased with the quick response. Spoke with them today. My mom is 84 and is not able to communicate. Was told not only that they could not speak with em but also not my mom. My dad passed away 2 years ago. My mother has signed 2 contracts with this company. They are gouging her on oil prices. She actually referred my niece and she is paying $2 less a gallon. I recommend not using this company. They are gouging seniors who may not be savvy enough to ask questions. Shame on you . I hope Noone does that to your mother.
