The oil service is great. So thats where the only star comes from. Propane is a joke. But im locked in for the past 2 months and have had 0 deliveries. The first delivery the tech who had "worked" in the industry for 20+ years told us he was unable to fill our unit as it was too close to the house. He showed us a regulation. Also indicated our generator regulator needed a vent installed, which made sense. He also state they never serviced this house before. Which the previous home owner confirmed they used them for 6 years and never had an issue. He said he'd shoot us a quote. Instead I got a call indicating he was wrong and he should have performed the testing required and filled the unit. Great. The 2nd instance they came out to do this all over the guy never left his vehicle. He claims

UPDATE: After posting this review, Petro reached out directly, apologized, and offered us two years of their premium service plan at no cost. While our original experience was unacceptable, I do appreciate that they took responsibility and made an effort to make things right. I’m therefore updating this to three stars. Depending on how things go from here, I’ll update again to reflect our ongoing experience.

Unfair and dishonest. I had a problem with my AC under warranty. Despite them telling me it would be covered, they later said it would be $650 for labor. Then they found a different issue which they said the $650 would still cover. Then later said it would be $1000. They completed the job and sent me 2 invoices, both saying $0. Thinking they honored the warranty, I forgot about until months later they called to say I had a balance with late fees. I won’t be using them anymore. Buyer beware.

Petro is the worst company ever they used to be the best and cared about their customers. We have been out of oil and they don’t care they were supposed to deliver yesterday but only brought 10 gallons. It’s didn’t last 12 hours. They were going to bring 10 more today which wouldn’t have lasted 12 hours. Don’t use this company. They are the worst. My mother has been with them for 50 years and they don’t care there’s no loyalty nothing this is the third time we ran out of oil since they were bought over.

This is a company making money by unfairly charging customers with no price transparency. With market pricing of ~$3 per gallon for heating oil, i am being charged for $5 per gallon for a delivery of around 240 gallon.
