Philadelphia Museum of Art Parking Garage

I had no problems or issues with the parking garage. 1. Don't lose your ticket 2. Get ticket validated (kind of a pain and other major museums don't require this) 3. Pay ticket before entering car to leave, take receipt 4. Put slip in the kiosk thing and the arm lifts and you exit. Most of the grievances described in reviews of this parking garage appeared to be caused by user error and/or people just simply not reading the procedures for parking at the Museum prior to visiting the museum.

Finding a parking space wasn’t an issue (it was a Thursday) but I’m from the sticks I guess because I didn’t know I was supposed to take the ticket with me in order to pay. Nor did I know I had to show it to the admissions desk to get the discount so I ended up paying $40 for parking as a museum guest. I used the stairs and there was no signage saying I had to “validate” my ticket to get a discount as I was going up, or that I should bring it on my person. The people at the admission desk did not ask if I wanted to validate the parking ticket. I only saw one sign as I was leaving the museum at 4:58 (closes at 5) and there, of course, was no one at the admission desk who could validate my ticket (if I had it) nor answer the many questions I now had about this validation of the parking ticke

I've been here many times and each has been an awesome experience. You cannot do Philadelphia without visiting the Museum of Art.

Great garage that’s easy to find and closely located to the side entrance of the museum! Only problem is the price. I validated my ticket at the museum (which you can only do if you bought a museum ticket) so the rate is suppose to drop from $34 to about $15, but when I left the machine screwed up and charged me full price. There isn’t any staff there to help and the machine took my only proof so I was forced to pay the extra amount to exit. So overall I’d say this is a great garage, but just be aware that if the system has a problem you could be charged a lot more than you should.

This museum was huge! It's got a wide collection of artworks comprising of mostly European and American artists. Check out the audio guide for a more informative experience of the exhibits. Parking is available at the museum garage. Parking ticket can be validated at the museum kiosk for a discounted rate
