Thieves…I think one star is generous. They came to do a simple job that should have taken 1 or 2 plumbers a couple hours. Then they gave us a bill for almost $2000 in labor. 2 plumbers for 4 hours to ‘troubleshoot’ that cost us 1000$, and 4 plumbers for 4 hours the next day. The owner of the company refused to talk to us. He credited us 4 hours for 2 plumbers but our bill was still over 2k and way more than the repair was worth. Also the plumbers never called us to approve the repairs and cost. They just racked up hours on our backs and the boss stood behind them. To add insult to injury they tried to charge us a late fee on the bill after they were the ones to never call us back. We will never use them again and recommend that you use any other plumber but them.

I had a very similar experience to Leo, below. A quote was reluctantly emailed to me when I asked for it. They had the responsibility to complete the work and leave the heating unit functional. Well, it didn't work and was never confirmed to be working despite my repeated requests for a verification check before the person left. They returned a few days later and completed the work. But charged me for parts for another issue AND 2 hours of an exorbitant rate of work. Despite my request to review the labor charge and reduce it, they refused to change and were aggressive and threatened me with legal consequences. I will not be using them again. Be very careful. They charge a lot and they think they think they can get away with it without recourse. Well, reputations mean something, too.

Phoenix Mechanical never told me about their rates or how they bill their drive time until I received their bill. When I spoke to the woman in their office she aggressively insisted said that they did tell me about the rates and drive times when I first called them. They DID NOT!! They also charged me about $140 for the tech and $85 for a laborer per hour. The laborer only watched the tech do the work!! The woman in their office aggressively responded that they charge $225 whether a laborer is there or not. Their invoice doesn’t say this…it breaks it down to a tech hourly charge and a laborer hourly charge. She all but called me a liar! Had I known all of this upfront I would have never hired Phoenix Mechanical. There was a plumber in Santa Fe that did quote me their rate

I went to phoenix mechanical for a gas valve for my furnace in my mobile home. The individual at the desk, Ky, didn’t want to help me unless I had both the serial and model number to the unit. I returned later with the information to my furnace and gave it to another worker, tim. When he sold it to me he said it “should” work. The day my gas valve was to be put on, it took my technician 2 seconds to see it was the wrong part and it wouldn’t fit. I returned to the store later to try and get my 300 dollars back. Only for them to say they don’t back electrical parts. I fail to see how I should be out that money when I gave the worker Tim all the information he required. I will no longer be doing business with phoenix mechanical and I suggest anyone in the future do the same. Terrible customer

A property I look after for absentee owners had an issue with sewage backup into one bathroom. There were compounding issues, such as the lift station, location of lines to the septic, the electric panel, plus and a leaking well head. I called Phoenix for their help in correcting all the issues. John and his work partner came out, on time. They began to diagnose the problems which were multiple. The work took about a week. John explained it all to me as they literally dug into it to diagnose and fix. Fencing had to be removed; we needed their electrician, their backhoe, etc. Long story short: John was great to work with, easy to communicate with and the job was done well.
