I submitted a ticket through American Home Shield for a quote for a new AC replacement/upgrade. This simple request was made on 11/19/2025 and it stated that I would be contacted within 1-2 business days. I received a call from this company around 12/8/2025 to schedule a consultation. I did refuse the consultation because if they can’t prioritize a new customer within 3 weeks to atleast give an introductory call then I can only imagine how it will be delayed when/if we were to do business with them. I understand that people are “short staffed” however a simple introductory call advising that they have the request and would call within a specified deadline could have changed the entire outcome and review being left. We were without an AC for two weeks the previous company were awful, Piedmont was sent out as another vendor .... Go with Piedmont on the first try.

If you like putting your family at risk for FIRE and want everything done WRONG call these guys! We were assigned Piedmont Mechanical Contract through our home warranty. They were requested out 3 different times to fix our A/C unit. Each time they fixed it for maybe 1 week. After the 3rd attempt and lack there of concern, I reached out to a local business for a 2nd opinion and thank the lord I did. Come to find out the work that was done was not only subpar, but frankly dangerous. We are fortunate our home didn't burn down. As the pictures show the newly installed capacitor was left in the cardboard box wrapped in electrical tape and stuffed back in, several wires were loose, and they didn't perform standard procedure checks to ensure everything was done/operating properly. I am deeply dissatisfied with the level of service received from Piedmont Mechanical Contractors and feel compelled to share my experience so others can proceed with caution. I placed a service request on Friday, July 25th, and was given an appointment for Monday, July 28th. I rearranged my work schedule to be home for this visit. The technician, Tony, arrived around 2:20 PM and immediately commented, “It feels fine in here,” before I had the opportunity to explain the issue. When I attempted to go over the problem and offer him protective shoe covers, he spoke over me and appeared uninterested in listening.
