Zane erased my review and photos so I am leaving a new review, but he missed several things on my home inspection that are things evident in his inspection photos. Most notably; though, is that he missed (and conveniently didn’t photo the area) an open cesspool and collapsed cast iron pipes under the master bathroom, failed to identify or disclose Orangeburg pipes, although he had done a prior inspection to the property and is familiar with the area - the whole neighborhood has Orangeburg except in homes where they have been replaced. Additionally, he missed structural issues, identified a shallow ditch as equivalent to a yard drainage system, and missed the sagging brand new windows that you can even see in the home inspection photos HE took. So I’m selling my house and this guy did the inspection for the buyers. He indicated that they’re were a few major issues. He said there was electrical work out of code and that their electrical disconnect for our ac unit was “too close” to the actual unit. Little did he know my father in law is a retired licensed electrician…my father in law came and looked at everything, and nothing was out of code. He also said that our entire roof needed to be replaced due to hail damage. Again, little did he know, I used to be a project manager for a roofing company. He said plank decking was out of code. When in reality it’s not as long as the planks do not exceed a particular spacing in between each plank, which ours did not, they were practically flush to each other. Zane is one of the most attentive home inspectors I have had the pleasure to work with. He over communicates, he truly cares about making sure the house is checked from top to bottom. I can assure you if you ever have an issue with this gentlemen he'd be more than happy to fix it. In my line of work people are quick to go to social media to complain instead of going to the source and allowing them to fix it so if you get your panties in a bunch it's prob your own fault. I'll always recommend Zane and have used him over 20 times with ZERO issues.

Best of the best... We recently purchased a farm with a home built in 1920. We knew there would be things to update, but without the very thorough, clear and timely work from Zane, there is no way we could have been prepared. Several months after the inspection, we still us the photos and report as reference for our remodeling. There is zero chance we would ever use another inspector in the future . Jason Springer
