I have used Popkin Electric for three jobs, including upgrading my service to 350 amps. For each job, they have been willing to discuss various options, including my plans for future proofing projects, such as using an electric circuit that can handle more current then needed for my EV charger so that it can handle future, higher demand EV chargers. Additionally, their price for installing my EV charger was lower than the Honda recommended contractor even after accounting for the Honda contractor providing a $500 credit from Honda.

Popkin should get less than one star. They charged me thousands of dollars for a certificate required by the Town of Oyster Bay 3 years ago. 3 years later, the Town sent an inspector to my house about the unfulfilled certificate. All the AC “repairs” and pictures that I paid an arm and a leg for were never sent to the Town. I am now in the same boat as 3 years ago and thousands of dollars short. The Town has given me 14 more days to comply & Popkin is yet to contact me. I call at least twice per day. No sign of the electrician who did the work and the company doesn’t proceed without his input. 3 days wasted as such and 12 more to go.
