Prism Specialties Art of NYC & Long Island

Brought in an 80yo canvas painting, yellowed shellac, and 80yrs of grime, stains, and a small tear. The painting is very sentimental to me, my father brought it back from Iceland in 1948. The before and after were incredible! The colors were vivid again! They also helped me pick a frame that went well with the color palette. The repair was flawless! Justin is a master at restoration!!

I had the pleasure of working with Justin on restoring a baby picture from 1955 that had some red smudges and paper damage. He did an absolutely fantastic job—better than I could have ever imagined. I was beyond impressed and truly happy with the results. Unlike other places that claim to “restore” photos but only create a digital reconstruction and print it on regular paper, Justin actually restored the original photograph itself. The restoration was remarkable. The picture came out beautiful, and I can’t thank him enough for the care and skill he put into his work. If you want real restoration done with attention to detail and true craftsmanship, Justin is the person to go to. Highly recommended!

Prism did a great job cleaning & restoring our paintings. Deana & her staff were very helpful explaining the process/methods and were accommodating in meeting with me when travel to their facility was met with delays in traffic. I would definitely use Prism again when needing cleaning/repair services for treasured art work.

I had inherited my mom’s painting of Southern Belle that has been in our family since 1949. As I was dusting it off, I fell and put two cracks in it and chipped the frame. I was devastated! I called Prism Specialties Art of NYC in Holbrook, sent pictures of the damage, and owner Deane told me that they would be able to fix it. So I dropped it off. When I picked it up, I could not believe how beautiful it came out. It looked better than when I brought it in! This is a company I highly recommend!
