Richards Pool Care

I paid almost 500 dollars for them to open up my pool, they left a bunch of dirt and leaves. When they took the cover off they were very careless and let all the dirt and leaves go into the pool. They completely scammed me, when i called to get the job done correctly they wanted to charge me $200. Do not recommend these guys.

Everything sucks. The driver also doesn’t pay attention while driving. Almost hit us and was smiling and laughing at the same time. Maybe he was on the phone while driving and definitely not paying attention. Just happened Sept 29 2025 at 9:00 am I hope the owner sees this message. It’s very important. Was in Wilmington area I believe.

If I can give this company a -0 Stars I would!!! They are scammers, disrespectful, and unprofessionally obnoxious! I had them install a new pool liner in March 2023, paid over $5,000 for the service, last year we realized the the liner was coming off the wall. When we opened up the pool this year, the entire liner for my inground pool was completely detached. I called them and Kevin came out to see it and said it was the area, it was excessive rain, and suggested for me to take a plunger to plunge it back into place. A few days later, the pool liner got worst and the entire sides are bubbled up and liner in the pool has more wrinkles in it. I emailed Kevin and he didn't respond. We have had an excellent experience with Richards Pool Care. They did a better job opening our pool than the last three companies and provided advice and options on some issues we had going on. More importantly, when we've had a few problems they have come out and fixed them so we could enjoy the pool. We are highly satisfied!

We decided to use Richards Pool Care to close and winterize our pool. We currently have tenants who live at one of our properties and required notice before the pool being closed. After waiting all day for any type of communication we got a call from the owner “Bob” who instructed us that the pool was closed and that’s that. We tried to tell him that we required at least a call before coming so we could be there but was met with a very bad attitude and yelling. Bob proceeded to become even more verbally aggressive and refused to take any accountability for his actions or error. When he was told that he was being out of line he completely dismissed a homeowners right to be present when work is being done and were forced to hang up on him. We will never be going back to this business again.
