River City Furnace & Fireplace- Heating, Plumbing, Air Conditioning

I just paid 600 to a reputable plumber to fix shoddy workmanship performed on my water heater installation by River City Plumbing. When we noticed the problem we attempted to contact River City to no avail. I sent pictures, emails. Nothing. Shame on you Home Service Plus for not vetting your installers.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had River City come out to inspect our failed air conditioning unit. They came out through an Xcel Energy Program called HomeSmart. It's basically a paid service that covers repairs and/or replacements of your home appliances if they breakdown. Kind of like an extended warranty for appliances. The guy that came out did maybe a 10-15 min inspection and said that all the refrigerant had leaked out and that he was going to write it up as non repairable rather than filling it up because our HomeSmart program only covers 1 lb and it needed like 5 lb. We had just had a hail storm about 3 weeks prior and the issues started shortly after that. This HVAC company was sub contracted through CenterPoint Energy to do my furnace, A/C and water heater install. The tech's that did the install were very nice and cleaned up after themselves. However, after the install several things prompted me to write this review. - The gas connection to the furnace was leaking. I smelled gas the night of the install after they left. I have done gas hookups before so I got out my soapy water and found the leak between the copper line they ran and the input pipe on the furnace. Turned off the gas and corrected it myself. Not good with 3 kids in the house, could of ended up being a huge risk to my family. - They didn't tape the joints between the air filter box and the furnace, there were 1/8 gaps all over between the box and furnace. Worst experience ever! A month and a half later my gas line still isn't hooked up. I've made numerous phone calls only to be told they would get back to me. Well no one has, only to be told again when I call again someone will get back to me. Never using this company again! No wonder the ratings are horrible, horrible customer service too! Taking my future business elsewhere. Don't use this place unless you have plenty of time to waste waiting around for them to figure out how to run a business. If I could give zero stars I would!

Don't let them do your plumbing they will charge you extra and not do the job right . Took twice to come back and do a simplie soder job . Sent a guy the second time who took directions over the phone. Of coarse it didn't hold . Reimbursement was only half which anyanyone knows if I had time to go to court I would of got full refund plus extra. Don't trust rhem
