River City Lawnscape Inc - Rochester

When I bought a new home with snow still on the ground, I was overwhelmed when I saw all the creeping charlie and violets appear in the spring, pictures included. The staff at River City were polite, prompt, and quickly put together a plan for my lawn. I like that I receive an email and application record after each service. I have used the payment portal with ease as well as the pay ahead option with no concerns. Overall, the process has been worry-free, requiring little to no effort on my part, after a single year of service there is no creeping charlie, and my lawn has been absolutely transformed into something I am proud of.

We had a mixed experience with River City Lawnscape in Kasson. In June 2024, we hired them to remove pea rock and install mulch and edging along our house and shed. We also asked them to fill and reseed a low spot in our lawn. We requested a detailed "Scope of Work" to ensure the work would be done the way we wanted. They assured us that a "Scope of Work" was not necessary. The first thing we noticed was that the low area was still too low. They inspected it and agreed to return and add more dirt. We expected clean, pulverized topsoil but we did not get that. The dirt was quite lumpy, with hard balls and even rocks here and there. The team of Diego, CHUY, and Parker did a terrific job on my property. I think it was Diego who was mowing and when I motion to him, he stopped and turned off the mower to speak with me. He was very polite and receptive to my request for some extra trimming around a drain. I have a particular interest in not Having grass clippings Blown towards the pond and he carefully positioned the mower so that didn’t happen. The Trimming around the edges was very well done, and then the cleanup of blowing the grass clippings off my patio was also well done. I appreciated having a lot of the lawn clippings picked up because it had gotten particularly long with all the rain. Thanks!

I really appreciate the time and helpfulness of Haley at River City with picking out our perennial flowers, shrubs, trees and evergreens for our backyard landscape project. She came out to help with spacing of all of the above once we got them all to the house. She has since been responsive to my continued questions. Thank you Haley for your time and expertise!!
