Contacted Roberts heating in 2023 August, because my old AC stopped working. They did sell me a magicpak for 10K installed + 1600 that I had to pay for massonry. Once the job completed they asked for $600 extra, explaining that they had some extra work besides the written estimation. :) I did not pay the extra $600 when I said that I had a written estimate, but I was really mad. 2 years forward, it is 97 F and my AC is not working. Do your self a favor and call someone else!

Have worked with them for well over 20 years. They are the best! Very responsive! They have installed new units and have been servicing them just about every year. Their best quality is their responsiveness and professionalism. Through the years I've called them at their busiest time when its 90+ degrees and the air conditioning unit goes down, but I can always get a hold of them and they go out of their way, even one time on a holiday. I'm grateful I have a company I can turn to that I trust. Glen Jr. has been here the last couple calls and did a great, timely job! Thank you!

Great experience with these guys fixing some improperly installed ducting (installed by different company many years ago - supply vent was hooked up to return, had to be switched). They had to cut a hole in my ceiling which had me nervous, but they did so very cleanly and screwed the drywall patch back in for me (still had to mud and paint myself) - but It was very well done. Price was not cheap but not exorbitant. Great quality work. Had an initial visit from a tech, he said complex duct work was above his pay grade so had a follow up consult/quote from the owner, then the owners son led the fix a few weeks later. Owner and his son were excellent/extremely informative. Don’t be turned off by the folks who answer the phones… they’re a little rough around the edges.

We have been using Roberts for many years now. We replaced our boiler with them several years ago with Glen Sr. spearheading the distribution of 5 zone heating which was a vast improvement in our home. This year at our annual boiler maintenance, Constantine smelled gas in the area. He detected a gas leak in the piping of the emergency removal & installation of a replacement hot water heater nearby by another company (after water heater failed and subsequent basement flooding). Thanks to Constantine's caring & expertise, the TWO gas leaks by a very sloppy mitigation team were fixed and we were spared another catastropic event. Thank you Constantine!! and Roberts for having seasoned professionals who CARE on their crew.

Recently my a/c unit stopped working. I wanted to use a local business and after checking online reviews, I called Roberts. Scott checked my system and replaced the motor start capacitor, also adding a boost (extra) capacitor to make it more reliable. He also checked the refrigerant and found that my air conditioner was fully charged and operating efficiently. Thanks to Scott, my system is now working well, and he said I should not need to replace it for several more years. Yes, there is a $119 service charge, and they carefully remind you of this when you call. I think that is fair. I am completely satisfied with the work done and I will use them again when it's time to replace my system. I highly recommend Roberts Heating & Air Conditioning of Northbrook.
