Rotterdam Heating & Air Conditioning

My boiler cracked and I had no heat in my house. I called a few other places before I was recommended to call Rotterdam Heating and Cooling, and was quoted some pretty insane amounts. I didn't want to waste anyone's time, so I called Tuesday morning just wanting to talk to someone and see if what I was quoted might be legit, and I ended up speaking to Mike. After some talking, he said he could definitely do better, and came out later that day to do an in person quote. By Wednesday morning I had a proposal in my email, that was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than all the other competition I spoke to. They were able to get the parts in by Wednesday night, and a team was at my house Thursday at 9am to do the install. They were done around 3pm, and I'm sitting in a warm house typing up this review. These guys are phenomenal!!!! I had a boiler issue that 3 other outfits could not repair, but as soon as Kenny arrived he had such a positive attitude and was able to get me up and running with some new parts over the course of two visits. Everyone I dealt with at Rotterdam Heating, from Kenny the tech to the young ladies in the office, were pleasant, friendly and most of all very patient with me and my phone calls and dumb questions. I would recommend this company to anybody who needs HVAC services. You're making a mistake if they are not your first call.

If I could give zero stars I would. Rotterdam Heating and Cooling sent a repair person out and charged me $257 for the service call. They said I needed a new pressure switch after of course saying I should think about getting a new furnace. After a couple of days of not hearing back from them I called them and they said they needed to order the pressure switch but it would be in the next day and they would put it in the next day. The part would be $150 and I’d have to pay an overtime rate for them to put it in. Not sure why I would have to pay an overtime rate. That day came and went and I never heard from them again. After 6 days of no heat I called another Heating company. They came out and fixed it the same day. Only charged me $50 for the part that was supposedly $150.

Rotterdam Heatings service is nothing short of fantastic. They have been so reliable and they have done great work for me. Jamey is incredibly knowledgeable and can do anything. He is courteous and always gets right back to me. I am so grateful o have found someone I can trust.

I have used this contractor several times in the past for new installs and they have always done good work for a reasonable price. I had gotten quotes from 3 contractors and this quote was the best price by several hundred dollars for the same equipment and they were able to schedule me reasonably quick. Nick came out and took time to explain options and I had the quote by end of day. The most recent Nov 2017 was for a new furnace and central air conditioning unit and removal of old. They worked quickly and left everything clean and in excellent working order and took time to explain the function and maintenance required. However I did encounter a problem after install where the exhaust line was not properly set to drain downward and condensation was backing up and leaking out of the
