RSW Aircraft Observation Area

Basically a small parking area with some picnic benches and trash cans. There are 2 wheelchair accessible parking spaces with access to a picnic table and trash can. The airport runway is just across the street, offering great views of arriving and departing aircraft. Other than the 2 concrete handicapped spaces, the lot is not asphalt or concrete, but is gravel, which at the time of this review was well maintained. Also, UPS and FedEx both have their air operations across the street, offering a great opportunity to observe their aircraft come and go. Overall one of the best airport observation areas I have been to. And I must apologize for the poor videos (and probably pictures, as well), but they should give you a good idea of what can be seen here.

Great spot if you like watching planes land & takeoff. Fun for young and old. Mostly just a place to park, but does have a small picnic area.

Great spot to observe landings and departures, albeit from.behind a fence. Some tables allow for a picnic or serve as a platform to watch of photograph the aircraft above the fence line.

Love this observation area. No bathroom but does have picnic tables.

Cool spot to drink your morning, coffee and enjoying the planes during full thrust. Can also notice the brushfire burning behind the airport
