The best of the best Steve is a very exceptional plumber and his crew follows right in line. My house was built in the 1800s and they were able to work the magic and get me a brand new heating system with minimal disruption to the original decor of the house in Charlestown. They also took a look at my toilet while they were. They were there for no charge and fixed a minor problem. Steve has been in business for years for this reason he comes from a very hard-working family, of plumbers and pipe fitters he can be relied on in an emergency situation and is very reasonably priced not like others in the area. There is no sales tactics or bait and switch, he wants to come into the job and get out with 100% customer satisfaction.

I was unexpectedly away from home and my furnace was giving me trouble right during an extended period of freezing temps & threat of an upcoming storm. I was so stressed out. I called Steve and came out right away & identified a serious issue with the pipes that needed to be addressed asap. I also needed a new fan can. He took care of it in time for the storm and explained everything thoroughly. As a property manager, I'm familiar with trades pricing. The cost was not unusual for the market - so I feel like the price for labor & materials was fair for the work involved & I am happy with the result. I would recommend Steve to a family member.

I’ve known the owner, Steven, for almost 40 years. He and his company have done plumbing work for my family, friends and myself for the better part of 20 years. They provide a multitude of services and they stand by each and every one of them. The quality of work and professionalism is second to none. If/when issues have arisen or anything was uncertain, Steven and his crew always work quickly and efficiently to work through them. Steven is a courteous, respectful, and kind-hearted business & family man. I’d recommend S. Ferro Plumbing & Heating 100 out of 100 times ! PS: I noticed a 1-Star review for this company. That was an idiotic, untruthful statement and I’m amazed at the way people try to hurt some companies, especially a reputable small business like Steve’s.

Called at 6:45 am on an extremely cold day for a flooded basement. Few hours later, had a new water heater installed because the previous one had burst (!) and a dry basement. Also gave some good advice about preventative care and how to approach subzero temps given our heating system. Cannot stress enough how positive this experience was. Reasonable price given that this is emergency plumbing! Will use again for anything that comes up, though hopefully in a less dramatic context.

Our heat wouldn’t turn on in the fall. The owner, Steven, came right over to address the issue. He checked out our entire system and also, educated us on thermostats. Steven helped us select a better and easier choice for our needs. Set it and forget it! Since then, it’s worked perfectly.
