Jon was very professional and helpful. He was honest in his evaluation of my dishwasher which had many hidden problems and was n ot worth repairing. I highly recommend him!!

My experience with Sears repair has been abysmal. My fridge broke almost exactly a year ago and it’s still not fixed. Cancelled appointments, no shows…three different repair guys who haven’t been able to figure out the problem. I was promised that if it can’t be fixed in three tries, the home appliance insurance plan would require them to replace it. The repair guy I had this past weekend scoffed and said, “They won’t replace it. They get to decide what’s ‘unfixable.’” The most recent “repair” (the third try after nothing worked the first two times) lasted for less than 24 hours before it crapped out again. Felt like a scam. I should have realized when they kept emphasizing the $129 diagnostic fee if you don't use them for the repair. For a dryer thermostat/high temp fuse replacement they wanted $600 ($200 parts, the rest labor and taxes) Even the Sears website lists the parts as $80 total and I got them for less than $20 on Amazon. For an experienced technician, this would be a 1 hr repair. The tech was a nice guy, but not worth $400/hr. These would just be high prices, but the scam part is that they try to sell you their home warranty for a discount on the current repair. So you can either pay v high repair prices or opt in to their monthly fee for short term savings (and still very high prices). And if you don't, then they still get their $129 diagnostic fee. Add: I ordered the parts for l
