Sears Appliance Repair

Our experience with the repairman Ben from Sears appliance repair was great from start to finish. We were timely informed of his arrival time window. Even got a call when he was heading our way. A rare thing these days. Ben represented Sears in a very professional manner. He diagnosed our refrigerators issue and ordered the correct parts for its repair and got it working again. Very pleased! 5 stars all the way !!!!

My machine now has other problems. There is not enough water going into the machine to wash the clothes. This may be due to the repairman using the door handle to try to pull the washer out. The door lock gave way, and spilled a lot of water out onto my floor. The door seems to be loose, and that may be why it is not filling with enough water. I put my bedspread thru 2 wash cycles, and it still had dry spots afterward. Also, the soap I added to the second run is still on the seal at the bottom of the door.

Tech was great! Thank goodness it was still under warranty. New engine in my 1 year old washer. I will say the managers need to be sure to schedule a little better and actually be there when scheduled but I still give 5 stars.

The repair person who came was very polite, was very professional and explained to my wife how best to use the dryer to not have another recurrence of the dryer not drying. He was clear and concise.

I called my home warranty company whom sent sears. The reason for the call was because the wash machine is not pumping / spinning all of the water out of the machine after a full cycle. This has caused a moldy smell and slimey gasket that I use vinegar, magic wash and have to leave the door open. Technician said that gasket needs to be replaced after a bunch of questions about how clean we keep our machine. Then at the end of the call and charging us $100 for a gasket that he says is normally $500, he states that we will need to wipe out the drum after every load with a dry towel and leave the door open. REALLY??? Who else has to do this with a “functioning” washer? And he never put a towel down and instead left water on the floor along with pieces of gunk from the gasket he also left lay
