Sears Appliance Repair

Labor charge $350 for 20 minutes of service!! That’s quite pricey! The first repair guy that was here spent five minutes, diagnosing the problem of my washing machine and then sat for 30 minutes just talking about his personal business which I thought was very unprofessional. The second service guy that came was wonderful came in and installed the part. Took him about 15 minutes. I don’t know that I’ll use Sears again because I feel that they robbed me on that labor. Usually businesses charge by the hour for labor so I don’t know how they came up with $350 for 20 minutes of service. I feel like I should be getting a little bit of a refund on that labor charge!! Great service! Technician was polite and friendly, explained everything in detail, worked hard to determine the problem and when he was convinced it didn’t need an expensive part installed not only did he not install it, he offered to refund us the cost of the part. Our dishwasher works great, and we appreciate his time and expertise!

Tyler was very professional and was aware of the issue when he arrived which was a change from other companies in the past. While he could not get the issue to reappear in his time on site he was able to discuss functions we didnt even know existed with the appliance. Hopefully the issue was a one off but he knew his way around the appliance and understood causes. We will see if this repair visit fixed the issue as he took some pieces off and replaced them back so we are hoping its a quirk and needed some human touch to make it work again.

We had techs out to fix our washing machine.. the softner dispenser... it was fixed but they broke the cover... and we just found out. I called the company and they are sending someone out but are charging a diagnostic fee...... it was broken by the technician. I am not paying a fee...

After diagnosing the problem, they required payment in full, ($438.20 for a spring and bracket replacement paid on 10/15/2025) before the repairs could be done. Tech screamed & cursed during repairs, after 1 1/2 hrs to get the cabinet back on, but finally said it was done and had me esign while running a sample load. It was NOT fixed and is still unusable, and he said he couldn't fix it, but I would receive a refund of $138.00. As of today, 10/21/2025, I have received no refund. So far, AI menu selections via phone and website have not included refunds or complaints, and only new and existing appointments can be entered to even begin chat. It won't accept finished appointments. I'm pretty sure this is a scam. I've been warning people about it, and hope that others will avoid this compan
