Sears Appliance Repair

Called the number on website. Was a robot Ai caller thing but was able to set up my appointment for today 03/09/26. Checked online to make sure all info was correct and it was. Picked their arrival time for 1pm-5pm. Got a text at 11 that they were on their way. They never showed up and the time on the website said they’d be there around 12:30-1:30. The website never updated and it’s now 3pm. No updates or anything. I’m pretty sure the time to get to my house doesn’t take over 4 hours when you’re about a mile away…wouldn’t be as upset if I didn’t get the text notifying me someone was on their way. If they weren’t you shouldn’t have gotten my hopes up. Looked on google and everyone says this service is awful and they’re known for no shows. Will never use this service again and I’m posting th

5 stars for the technician. Eli did a great job and double checked everything to ensure the leak on our dishwasher was fixed. As for the rescheduling and not being able to talk to a real person was very frustrating. Schedule from the time the issue was diagnosed, part arrived and repaired was changed multiple times. This was rescheduled over 8 plus times. Trying to schedule someone to be there with an 8-5 time window only to have it change.

The system wouldn't let me make two seperate reviews, so I took an average of the 2. The 1st review would be -1 star! Because their entire system is "virtual" you can't easily get in touch with a real person. It was horrible.. The technician blew off the return appointment, the rescheduling was inaccurate and glitchy, and there was no one to talk to for help. I was at the mercy of their AI bot and their website to get help with my furnace in IL that was not working in January! HOWEVER.... Once I begrudgingly rescheduled, their AI system SLOWLY started working in my favor. It found me an earlier appointment than the "third" one I had rescheduled. It also let me request a call from the technician on the day of service "that was a game changer!" The "third" scheduled appointment was FLAWLESS!

Anthony was great! polite and put booties on so to not track anything into our house. He stayed in touch with me during the process. I would definitely request him again.

Our furnace was making a scraping/grinding noise and then quit and would not startup. I called my home warranty company and they lined up Sears to come out. Anthony came out on Saturday and immediately found the problem but could not get parts on the weekend. He ordered the part needed. Sears informed us almost immediately that Anthony would be back out on Monday to repair our furnace. Anthony came out Monday morning and installed the new motor and verified that the furnace operated correctly. Thank you Sears and Anthony for the speedy repair.
