Septic Blue of Stockbridge

What was quoted as a $200 simple tank pumping turned into $450 real quick based on “needing to mix solids” being pumped out of a septic tank. I was told this was because it’s a “nightmare” if they don’t do this. Is that not the job? I had no internal backup and my intake had previously been cleared. This was non-emergency septic tank maintenance. I had a horrible experience because I felt deceived and would not recommend this company. They use the normal, disrespectful upsale/upcharge/scare tactics and it’s not right.

Yes, it was expensive, BUT I have played septic system Roulette for many years. My system has only been pumped once in a bit over twenty years, instead of the recommend 3 year interval. It was the same for my rental house next door. That one backed up 12/30/2023. Renters often put all sorts of inappropriate things in the sinks and toilets. Septic Blue came and saved new years eve. So when I realized how long it's been for my system at home, I called them again. My tank was in dire need of servicing and the bacteriaappearedto be dead (to much bleach in the laundry, I'm sure). I did the same service as next door. Now I have new sanitary tees on both ends, my drain field pumped, a new appropriate filter, all the undigested 'crust' and crud pumped out, and a full load of bacteria in there. Pl

Total Bait-and-Switch! Don't trust the quote Septic Blue gives you. I was quoted $200 with a max of $300 over the phone. When the technicians showed up, they insisted on $800. That's a huge, dishonest jump. They said my tank was overfilled. They said I had excessive solids. They said I needed enzymes. They said I needed a new filter. They said they wouldn't pump the tank without all of the above services. They said I needed to give them $50 if I didn't want any of their services... --- UPDATE: Big Daddy's Septic gave me an honest & realistic quote over the phone. They came out the same day. They did the job for what they said they would charge. They said it was not overfilled, but at normal operating level. They said I did not have excessive solids, only about 2-3" on the top, which i

W wha d a back up in a bathroom. We called Septic Blue and Zack came and checked the septic by unscrewing the green caps. Judging from the water he said no pumping is needed. The issue is different than the septic tank. I will update this review once we get the plumber to take a look at bathrooms.
