I see some of the complaints on here and I don’t understand why. I get there are different experiences. We have had 2 gunite pools installed by Sequoyah in 3 years. Our experience from the home design visit to the pool opening was nothing but excellent. Were there delays in completing, yes there were because of weather related issues. That is to be expected when you do a pool. I would rather have them delay the project than push through when it’s questionable. We have had them service the pool and never had an issue. The staff in the store is very pleasant to deal with. All are very helpful. If I ever need another pool installed they would be the first company I would call.

I had this company install a pool in 2023, and I’ve experienced ongoing issues ever since. The chlorine system has had repeated problems, and the fire pit they installed was defective. I submitted a warranty request for the fire pit, yet it took an extremely long time for anyone to come inspect it. Conveniently, they didn’t send someone out until after the warranty period had expired, resulting in a $4,000 repair that should have been addressed while it was still covered. Additionally, they failed to obtain the Certificate of Occupancy for my pool. Knox County ultimately contacted me directly because it had never been completed. Sequoyah recently resurfaced our pool. We could not be happier. Their communication was great! We look forward to using the pool this summer!

My experience with Sequoyah Pools is very similar to other reviews posted here and on Facebook. Sequoyah Pools is your classic “pitch and ditch” service provider that talks a good game, but ultimately doesn’t deliver. Jonathan Evans, co-owner, is a good guy that has great intentions, but doesn’t have the team to back up his promises. For 16 months, I’ve pursued Jonathan and his staff to have my pool finished, but to no avail. Text after text went unanswered. Call after call went unanswered. The staff is rude. The service team is abysmal. Unless you are interested in spending your time chasing down the unresponsive team at Sequoyah Pools through text, calls and face-to-face office visits, I would not use Sequoyah Pools. What a great experience! Very impressed with the professionalism of the staff at Sequoyah Pools from our first planning meeting with Scott all the way through the final stages of the project. After-installation service has also been great- Josh has been prompt in responding to questions and stopping by to ensure all is well. Even their contractors were courteous, prompt, efficient and professional. Very pleased. Would recommend without hesitation.
