Shades of Green Landscaping

Bob was very detailed and understood my vision of the walkway and firepit patio from the beginning. It turned out exactly as I wanted (and even better than I expected). A huge shout out to Skip, the foreman, who was an excellent communicator throughout the project. He was open to answering any of my questions at any time of the day or evening hours. He also checked in with me periodically to ensure the project was moving in the right direction. I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. I'm over the moon with my gorgeous new backyard oasis.

We were excited to work with a local business. Bob seemed interested and knowledgeable about what we wanted, privacy trees in our backyard. That’s as far as it went. He never gave us a quote as he had promised and stopped returning calls. Basically ghosted us. Too bad. Would not recommend.

Inconsistent for sure!! Shades of Green lawn fertilizer and grass seed works, but so does Scotts brand! For a small business, Bob and Connie are both inconsistent in communication, hours of operation, and nothing gets completed in a timely matter. If you have all the time in the world, you are not looking for immediate results, and are fine with unreturned phone calls as well as unstable hours of operation, then this is the place for you. Be prepared for Connie to be in several different moods each time you call. Be prepared for inconsistency in all areas and have zero expectations. I paid Bob in full, but true to the way you run your business, you lost the cash envelope with the balance in it that I gave you, according to Connie!

Bob and his crew are Patio Whisperers!! Bob came out a year ago in the fall and over the winter created magical plans for a patio, deck and landscaping to replace a very old wooden deck!! Skip laid all the pavers and created two sitting walls. Then when the fence was up the landscaping and deck were done. (The deck was built by Mike and Ray of Mike Wood Construction). Our backyard was turned into a beautiful oasis!! Couldn’t be happier!!! Shades of Green Landscaping has done a lot of work for us but nothing so magical as this project!! Oh!! Did I say fast?? They are amazing!! Highly, highly recommend Shades of Green Landscaping and the whole crew!!!!

Overall an average job. The only real issue I have is that I EXPLICITLY told Bob that I wanted privacy in my front yard for all 4-seasons. He gave me seasonal bushes that shed its leaves. So, what does this mean? I have to spend more money in the spring, to transplant the non-private plants, and buy yet more plants to make what I wanted in the first place. Money was no problem, so I don't know why he skimped on it...well, yes I do (to make more). So with that, make sure you verify the plants on the quote. -Bob is a nice guy, just doesn't listen. (and, 3 stars because even though he missed my request, his crew was talented).
