Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria DCA Airport Parking

Arrived at the garage and there was a sign on the ticket machine that said if you already pre-paid for parking that you have to check in at the front desk first. This was not mentioned on the reservation through the global airport parking website. The call button on the ticket machine also rang and no one answered. Thankfully no one was behind us so that we could back up and go to the front door of the hotel. We arrived earlier than anticipated due to traffic and the hotel allowed us to park ahead of schedule, which was nice; however, the shuttle had just left and the next shuttle wouldn't be for another hour. I arrived at Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria DCA Airport Parking with a confirmed reservation and a QR code, but when I checked in at the front desk, I was told there were no parking spaces available. They suggested I go into the lot and try to find a space on my own. Shortly after, another car arrived with the same issue, so we ended up competing for any open spot. I eventually found the worst possible parking space after wasting time and dealing with unnecessary stress. To make things worse, at that hour there was no shuttle to the airport, so I had to pay an extra $20 for an Uber. Honestly, I would have gladly paid that at another parking facility from the start to avoid this experience. I wish I had read the reviews before booking. I returned to National Airport and waited outside at the designated area from 6 PM to 6:20 but no Shuttle showed up. I had to call the hotel to tell them there is no shuttle and I don't want to pay extra money for garage parking. They told me that shuttle will be there soon and my extra money will be refunded. Next day when I call the hotel for refund, they refused it.

Lovely hotel in a good location, close to plenty of grocery stores and restaurants. Shops within walking distance, the room is clean and a very nice size for a longer stay. Complimentary airport shuttle Mon-Sun 7am-11pm as very clearly stated under Parking and Transit on Marriott app or website.

Disappointing. No shuttle available early morning or late evening so we had to arrange an Uber. It does say on the website but you have to hunt for it. Also, we returned 15mins later than anticipated (flight was a little late) and they charged us for a whole extra day. Ended up more expensive than just taking a taxi from home. Staff not very helpful.
