I’ve worked with Gordon and Nikko on a couple kitchen projects over the years and they’ve turned out great. Guests are always asking me who built the cabinets. They’re fun and professional people to work with and their shop is very cool - if you ever need something built or need help with a project, stop by and say hello.

I sought a craftsman who could listen to my ideas for shoji screens for my windows, improve on it and deliver quality work. Shigoto-ya succeeded! The screens are beautiful and the craftsmanship is excellent. I highly recommend Shigoto-ya for their fine work and expertise!

Great experience with Nikko at Shigoto Ya! I needed 3 custom shoji screens to fit into some window frames, and they were able to get them perfectly into a very tight space, in a way that felt seamless. The wood choice was perfect.

Wonderful discovering Nikko at Shigoto Ya,,, a real local workplace with experienced carpenters using Real Wood!!! Nikko came and saw the alcove where we designed a custom sized bed with full storage underneath,,,, and a few days ago Gordon and John came and delivered alll the well made pieces and set it up ! Price is reasonable given the materials used. It was a pleasure from beginning to end!( first review ive ever written,,, because its good to pass on good tips!)
