SoCal Fencing Center

My daughter is 12 years old and moved to SoCal to fence before the summer. I’m very impressed with SoCal so far. Fencing is a highly competitive sport that takes a lot of physical and mental exertion. The coaches and staff at SoCal knows this and makes sure kids have balance, have fun as well as be competitive. Individual sports can be isolating, but they try to bring a sense of community, involving families in activities and events. In class, through the rigor, kids learn to have good sportsmanship and respect each other. The club always try to keep parents in the loop. They put added effort to accommodate the kids’ and parents’ schedule when scheduling private lessons. Coaches at SoCal are world class, top notch, professional, and supportive. My two sons have been fencing foil ever since the club opened. They have a world-class coach team to guide your kids to success. The head coach Kostas possesses the rare ability to truly inspire his athletes. Before fencing, both of our boys were introverts, would often crack under pressure, and didn’t show much passion for sports. Now they are much more confident and extroverted with their peers, excel under competitive pressure, and share the same dream of competing side by side as members of the US National Team in the future. As parents, we are more than proud to see that our children are so passionate about the sport and aspiring to become Olympic champions at such a young age. SoCal Fencing Center is not only a club for competition but also a big and diversified family across ages and ethnicities. My 7 year old had a lot of fun, makes friends and also learned a lot from this sport. Coaches are also amazing!

This is a great foil club. The coaches are very professional and dedicated. They strive to do their best in every class. The atmosphere and management of the club are also very good. It is highly recommended.
