Park elsewhere. The attendant working here (the same one referenced across years of reviews) is genuinely one of the rudest people I've encountered in 15 years of living in Boston. He quoted us more than double the price listed on the board and said it was cash only. When I pointed out the discrepancy with what was posted, he told me I was wrong. When my wife politely asked if there was an event causing the price change, he looked at her and said he isn't going to talk to her. When I repeated her question, he told us to just leave the garage. Reviews going back years describe this exact same person, this exact same behavior, and he's still here. The owners know - they respond to every review. The fact that this type of individual and behavior is being tolerated for so long tells you eve
I wish I could give this place 0 stars so that no one would come here. we parked here overnight from 11/1-11/2 because it was super close to where we were staying. we paid $45 cash and were not given a receipt. everything was fine until we were on our way out today when the attendant tried to charge us another $22! we told him we already paid yesterday and he tried telling us that we were there for more than 24 hours, trying to say we had gotten there at 11 am yesterday. we live over an hour away and had not even left our house until 11:30 yesterday, which we both remember clearly because we were running late. there was no possible way we were entering the garage at 11 when we were still at our house over an hour away at 11. we told him this and he kept insisting that we got there at 11 an
Terrible Experience – Avoid This Garage I came to Boston for a concert and parked at Somerset Garage, which turned out to be a huge mistake. When I arrived, I asked the attendant what time they closed—he was extremely rude and just said, "Go in, don’t worry about it," without giving me a straight answer. He charged me $40, and that was it. After the concert, I came back to get my car only to find the garage was locked up. No one answered the phone, and there were no signs or warnings that they would close with vehicles still inside. I had no choice but to come back the next day. When I finally spoke to someone the next day, the new attendant told me overnight parking is $45 and questioned why I was only charged $40. I had no answer—because no one explained anything to me. On top of that,
To echo the vast majority of opinions here, this place is a mess. My wife and I were looking for parking to go to a store on Newbury, so we pulled in here. We both heard the attendant (listed on the receipt as Idris B.) quote us $20; after parking, we noticed we were charged $40, the event rate. After no more than 2.5 hours, I returned to get our car, and on the way out, stopped to ask the attendant if we had been overcharged. A simple “sorry, there’s nothing we can do” would’ve avoided me writing this, but he was needlessly combative — naming a slew of unspecific “events” in the area and saying stuff like “what, you want your money back?” When I said I was just asking a question, he fired back with an “everybody always tries to just ‘talk’ about it.” All in all, it was an entirely unpl
Genuinely the worst city parking experience I’ve ever had. Attendant was rude coming in and then missing (and rude) when we needed to get out. They don’t use a ticket machine so you have to wait for the worker who was not there and when he showed up my elder mother made a joke about him taking a nap and he called her disrespectful, meanwhile he didn’t apologize for leaving us stranded or why he was missing. Didn’t get his name but take some accountability next time. DON’T PARK HERE IF VISITING BOSTON!!!
