I had a private lesson as a gift from a friend. Kay was so sweet! She was very encouraging, personable and didn’t make me feel rushed. We had a great conversation as we painted and that made for a great experience.

Kay Richoux is an absolutely lovely human being. She bestowed kindness and shared with us her time, story, and passion for art. We were visiting the area (from out of state) seeking information about the art community for our son who plans to pursue art. Kay met us on a Sunday to give us a tour, sat for an in depth conversation, and then proceeded to teach our son an art technique and create art with him. Gifted him with great memories today!!! ***Do not miss out on this art school and this instructor.***

5 STARS!! My daughter had a great experience. We ended up extending our art sessions because she enjoyed the first one so much. I was very grateful for Ms. Kay and her assistants for catering to my daughter who is also on the spectrum. They went above and beyond my expectations, my daughter will continue to take classes from Ms. Kay. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Kay is a talented artist who teaches students of all ages and varied skill levels. She is thorough, very patient and enjoyable as a teacher. Her studio is filled with a variety of materials and so much lovely art at all stages in the creative process.

Took the Encaustic Monotype class today with a friend. Kay is a joy and does an excellent job in explaining the process of using wax in this craft. Soul Art also offers kids art sessions! Soul Art is located in Oil Center in Lafayette. Definitely recommend!!!!!
