One Christmas Day during Covid, with a house full of family and friends, heavy rain backed up our septic so that it was flowing from our pipes and flooding our basement. South Fork Septic not only came within an hour of being called, the guys dug open the septic tank cover, lay down over the edge and vacuumed the overflowing waste out by hand. Enough so they could then let the hose suction the septic until empty. In the pouring rain. On Christmas morning! Then they put the lid back on, shoveled the dirt and carefully replaced the grass on top, and washed down the driveway underneath and around the truck. South Fork Septic are as good as their word. I had two cesspools on my property inspected. My expectation was to get a thorough report on the condition of the cesspools. Each inspection took only about 15 minutes and cost me over $1500. What I got was some pictures and a very brief report that basically just described what the cesspools were made of. It didn't tell me if the blocks were eroding, how much longer the cesspools could last, etc. I felt I paid a lot and didn't get much information in return.

South Fork Septic replaced our septic tank pipes going from the house to the tank (9 feet deep). John Parry is so knowledgable and thorough, he described everything he was going to do and why. We got a few estimates and truth be told we hired another company first (we took the lowest one because they were all similar). However because John educated me on what he was doing and why, it was clear to me that the company we hired showed up completely unprepared, including the wrong equipment, and they clearly were winging it. I knew more than they did at this point! They way they were doing things, it would have been a nightmare! So we let them go on the spot and hired John (like we should have in the first place!)
