South St. Garage

The Garage is in a prime location if you’re visiting the Pennsylvania State Capitol. However, I had significant trouble when trying to make a payment with my credit card. Upon exiting, I used two different credit cards that were both charged, but the gate didn’t open. Eventually, my debit card worked, and I was able to exit. I disputed the charges on the credit cards, and they were waived. Also, note that on weekends, especially Sunday, the garage may be closed when you return. After visiting the Capitol, I came back to find the garage closed. Thankfully, I had my parking ticket with me, which you need to scan at the door to enter the building and access the stairs or elevator to your parking floor. Aside from this, the garage was clean and had ample parking space.

Just a standard parking garage, nothing really special here. the elevators are pretty fast for a 12 floor garage, whenever I come here the right car is always down for some reason.

Decent parking garage, operated by SP Plus Corporation, close to 2nd street & the capitol. Monthly as well as daily parking rates. Exit west onto 2nd street, or north onto 3rd Street. Location is optimal for access to the various churches on State Street. Getting into the garage was fine, but getting out was difficult. The ticket readers do not work and you have to press a button to call someone to assist. Not the garages fault here, but there's a lot of homeless hanging around the garage and the alley to access it, so it can make you feel unsafe and uneasy if you're by yourself or with kids. Personally won't be using this garage anymore.

Good location to walk to the Capital complex or many food options. Easy in and out
