We have never had a lawn service as we have always rented houses. Due to the lengthy dry spell this winter and the fact previous renters neglected the lawn I allowed the door to door sales rep talk me into the service. I was told after the first treatment that subsequent treatments would be every 4 to 6 weeks with the first being $69 and then $40 per month thereafter. The first treatment seemed very spotty as far as weed control and as far as insect control we actually have more fire ants now than before. After upgrading my irrigation and discussions with the owner we decided to seed and re-sod the entire yard so I called and cancelled. I have worked in the service industry for well over 20 years and I am very concerned about the current state of the industry in general. The salesman did a great job explaining the service and he sold me. I had some simple but specific requests that were not followed during the first visit. The area manager did come out and discuss my concerns. Then during the second visit, the same simple requests were not followed. Not to mention, that manager promised that he or one other specific Technician would be servicing my yard until the end of the year. Needless to say that the second visit was NOT performed be either of those two people. I saw no results in 3 months except more weeds. And then when I called to cancel they had already charged me for the new month before I had any treatments so they pretty much got paid for no work. I hope they enjoy my money, because they are going to loose any future opportunities because anyone who asks about lawn care from me is going to get my story and a recommendation to a different company.

I've been a customer since April this year. The reason I signed up was for weed prevention, and general upkeep of my yard. Every single month I had service my yard only became worse. I called every single month about the weeds spreading across my St Augustine, and received the run around that " give it a couple of weeks". About 25% of my back yard is all that's left. The last time I received treatment was in the first week of August, which I paid for. My debit card on file expired, and I haven't received a treatment since then, but they still bill me. Now do not only have to spend a bunch of money, and time resodding my backyard, southern green wants me to pay $90 for September, and October even though I didn't receive a treatment?? Horrible customer service. Hard to get anyone to answer the phone and they didn't return voice messages. Lawn got progressively worse as they treated. I called to complain and was given excuses and told it would take a year to make the yard look good (sod was less than a year old...). I was actually home on the last treatment and the tech rang the doorbell but I didn't answer. So then I watched him spend 5 minutes spraying a small portion of the front lawn and leave. Didn't even treat half the yard. He then left a note at the door with the wrong techs name and the wrong date of treatment (they dated it a week later then they were actually on site). Called to complain but after it took me a week to get someone on the phone they just told me he was one of their best techs... Then I checked
