I believe this company is scamming customers. I had Speedy Appliance Repair come to service my washing machine on July 22, 2024, 16 days ago. At first I was told one part needed replacement for $525. I paid 50% on the spot. Then I was told, no it was a different part needed to be ordered. I waited for 12 days for the part to be available and installed. The serviceman installed it on Friday. He said he ran the washing machine through a full cycle and all was working. I paid the 50% balance by check last Friday. I myself had back to back business calls that day so I did not go to the basement to verify what the serviceman had told me. Today, I first tried to use the washing machine. The company culture here falls in line with the leadership in this organization 🤦🏽‍♀️ pretty arrogant. Apparently one of the owners came to assess my washer which was previously not diagnosed properly by another technician. He arrived an hour later than expected and proceeded to let me know that I should feel honored that he arrived to handle this because he typically doesn’t make house calls. I tried to explain that I wasn’t too thrilled that I had to make another appointment (after this second one) and he said, “let’s not go there”. He was completely dismissive and arrogant. He then said that his organization does not need my help (my customer feedback). After he left, I called the company and asked to speak with the owner and found out that the tech that showed up was one of the o

Had them come out to look at an oven. Told the woman I spoke to what was wrong, model of the oven, etc. repairman came - said it was just a consult and I had to pay $125. He then told me what part I needed ($90 online). Asked for $175 for the same part plus another $475 for labor - but it’s a great deal because my $125 deposit was applied! Avoid at all costs! There have to be more reputable companies out there.

If you are ever in need of repairing an appliance and are considering this company, do yourself a favor and call someone else. You will get a fast response and the problem will be resolved, but they will also scam you. This is not about charging a lot for the service; this is about been dishonest plain and simple. If you go ahead and use their services, anyway, make sure that you get a clear credit card transaction receipt (they don’t provide it) and that the amount in the credit card receipt matches the service receipt. Do not make the mistake that I made trusting them.
