Stable Hollow Construction

I wanted to renovate the interior and exterior of an early 1800s large barn with wood siding. Because it was so full of woodpecker holes, I determined that a board and batten look matte finish steel siding would be the best for the long run and allow me to keep the beautiful post and beam 150 to 200 year interior safe and intact. Stable Hollow Construction is fantastic, and specializes in barns. I got three quotes and while Stable Hollow was not the cheapest (but not all that much more than some of the others), I am so glad I chose them. Allen, the estimator and his team, provided a four-page, very detailed description/estimate of what they would do right down to the finishing clean up with magnets to get stray nails and screws and final grading of the ground around the barn -- while othe

Abner and Andy and their crews were terrific to work with! They did excellent carpentry and masonry work to help preserve our bank barn for use by us and future generations. They were professional, knowledgeable, skilled, personable, and committed to providing a quality product. The crews traveled quite a distance each day to get to the job site, and we are happy that they did! In addition, the Stable Hollow office staff was always responsive and helpful. We will certainly be calling on Stable Hollow again as we continue this project!

Stable Hollow Construction did an outstanding job on our old bank barn. One of the main load-bearing posts had rotted out at the bottom, and they handled the entire repair with incredible skill and care. They were able to raise the barn nearly 4.5 inches, mill and install a new support post, and set it on a beautifully built stone pedestal to keep it off the ground and protected going forward. Their crew was professional, efficient, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing with historic structures. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were top-notch. Couldn’t be happier with the result — highly recommend Stable Hollow Construction for any barn or structural restoration work.

Yet another great job by Stable Hollow Construction. Leroy and his team at Stable Hollow Construction was able to come through on a time crunch to get new flooring put in, stairs and cement poured, as well as an apron on the bottom part of my barn prior to an event I was hosting within a few weeks. I would highly recommend them for any Barn or Stonewall or Stone House Restoration work!!

Stable Hollow Construction did an amazing job replacing the old cedar and shingle roof and full front entry on our 200-year-old barn with a beautiful new front and door system, and metal roof, complete with cupola and weathervane. Their communication was fantastic, the craftsmanship was top-notch, and even with minor weather delays and a few unforeseen changes, they delivered the project on budget. We’re grateful for their work and look forward to having them continue the restoration of Firethorne Farm next year.
