Stamped Concrete Concepts

Dan and his crew created a complete backyard makeover for us. The project went well beyond a stamped concrete patio and his crew was up for the task. They removed an existing paver patio, steps, retaining walls, shed, and several trees on the site. They laser surveyed the area to ensure connecting the new stamped concrete slab into an existing pool slab and match 3 different door elevations. The new reinforced concrete stamped patio was 20‘x40’ pitched to a slab drain with a two-step upper level. At the last minute, I wanted to add a 5’x20’ sidewalk connecting the new patio to the driveway. We had Dan Thayer remove our old patio and pour a new stamped concrete patio. He did not pitch the patio away from the house. When it rains we have pooling water that runs in to the walkout basement door. Dan was supposed to come back and fix the slope, it has been a month at this point and he has not answered my phone calls. The concrete patio started cracking and chipping. The color on the concrete is a mismatch, looks like someone spilled motor oil. The stamping is different across the patio, because it took them so long to finish it and the concrete started to cure. I hope this review helps people to think twice before having Thayer Stamped Concrete do concrete work for them!

We’ve used Dan's team at two different houses now, and they’ve been great both times. We just had them put in two stamped concrete patios, redo our asphalt driveway, and move some plantings. Everything looks awesome. The crew was friendly and were super nice to our kids who loved watching all the work happen. Wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again.
