I hired Stein Masonry in fall 2024 for extensive hardscaping and drainage work at my Randolph home, and the project truly transformed both my property and my quality of life. From our first meeting, Juliana Stein immediately understood my main concern, which was drainage issues that were causing water to leak into my basement. Before the project, I was dealing with water problems, weeds, a broken mudroom step, and an unsafe, deteriorating wooden deck. Juliana and her husband Gil were knowledgeable, thoughtful, and solution-oriented. After removing the old deck, they discovered that the space under the mudroom was completely open, supported only by pylons. I wanted to highly recommend Stein Masonry and Hardscape for any of your needs. Gil and team were amazing and really brought our vision to life for our front and back patios and walkways. Gil is personally an amazing guy who really took the time to understand what we wanted to do and offered options. He was very pleasant and great to work with. We wanted reuse our old front patio pavers and stones in the back and he made sure to come up with ways to make sure it gelled with original patio and build a separate platform for our firewood. He was also very reasonable in pricing and matched and beat multiple quotes we got for the job. Did a custom job for railing and also suggested upgrades that took the front patio to a whole new level. Overall very satisfied and cannot recommend enough.

We hired Gil and his team to expand our driveway, install a bluestone walkway, and build retaining walls — and they did a fantastic job. The team was professional, efficient, and detail-oriented. The bluestone work looks beautiful, the driveway is seamless, and the retaining walls are solid and well-designed. They finished on time, kept the site clean, and were great to work with. Stop searching, you found the team that you want to work with. Gil and Juliana Stein and the entire crew are absolutely incredible. They are creative, efficient, thorough, kind, and responsive to any questions. I had an idiosyncratic project that required building permits and approvals; I was building a ramp that had to be to code because I use a wheelchair. The project also involved a patio, landscape lighting, and new plants and flowers in the landscaping. Stein Construction handled all of it brilliantly. Gil even talked me out of a design idea that I had because the other (cheaper) way was going to look and function better. He was 1000% right. We are thrilled with the results of the entire project.
