Had our trash container removed and service cancelled all because I was late. I was on auto pay, but I had to get a new debit card number due to unauthorized charges. I realize I was late and that’s on me, but my complaints is in how their office lady, who apparently is the manager too, is so rude and acts like you slapped her in the face when you are a irritated for their lack of courtesy. I simply asked why they wouldn’t notify customers that their container will be removed by a certain date if bill is not paid. Heck Republic lets you go a couple of months before stopping service. The lady told me that that information was in the paperwork sent when we first signed up. That’s all well and good m, but I simply can not remember every line of every contract I sign. Stone County Disposal cancelled my garbage pickup service on 8/18/25. They called me on 8/11/25, two days after the auto pay date and said the auto payment was declined. I told them my wife will look into it and call her back. (My wife takes care of the bills every month). My wife called back the same day at 3:02 pm after verification from our credit card company that nothing was declined. No one answered at Stone County Disposal so a message was left that there was no payment declined and please put it thru again. If there are any issues please call me back. There was no call back. We assumed the payment was processed, but my garbage was not picked up. We called today 8/19/25. The woman argued that she called and talked to my wife about the cancellation situation. We have had this company for over 4 years and we are extremely pleased with everything they offer. They are always on time and very dependable. This is a small family owned business which performance is perfect! We love family owned, local businesses. Winter Ice & Snow present a problem because we live on an unpaved road. They will however pick up our trash in plastic trash bags left at the curb via pick up truck to avoid getting their big trash hauling truck stuck. Just give them a call and they will take care of your hauling needs. We have seldom had to do this because it seems like we have less trash in the winter and we can easily wait til the next pick up day. Very personable, friendly and professional staff. We tried to support a local company, but unfortunately, our luck has run out. After edging our driveway, we placed a snow shovel full of grass clippings on top of our trash. The crew took the two bags on top but refused to take the rest—even though there was regular trash underneath the clippings. When we called to cancel the service, the office showed no interest in why we were leaving—no questions, no concern, just indifference. Ironically, if the clippings had been hidden in a bag, everything would’ve been fine, and they never would’ve known. Seems honesty doesn’t count for much here. Oh well.

There service is extremely unpleasant. The staff and the driver are difficult people I had ever dealt with. Avoid this company at all costs..
