VENDORS BEWARE: STONE INC DOES NOT PAY As of January 9, 2024 I have personally tried to contact the owner Marc Mallegni over a dozen times regarding an open balance of $4,350. I spoke to Christine (showroom manager) and John (fab shop manager), both reassured me they would forward the messages. I am certain they did. I've also had sales reps visit both locations (multiple times) in an attempt to collect. As a last resort, I offered to resolve the matter by returning the material (free of charge) but of course the material is not available because it was sold, cut and installed. None of which would happen without Stone Inc having been paid for the job. There is no reason for an open balance. If you are a vendor, do NOT accept checks from Stone Inc. All interaction with the folks at Stone Inc have been positive, from initial phone calls, facility visit to view remnants, measurement/template and install. They had a wide selection of remnants to pick from and they worked with me to identify the piece that fit my size needs and design preferences. I paid replace existing countertop for my customer because it was cracked. I asked them and make sure so many times that make a exactly same as old countertop(Size and edges) because we using same sink and match other countertop of kitchen. Even I kept old countertop for measuring. But when they delivery it is different size and edges. So I asked the guy who measured countertop. And he is got mad and he keeps telling me "I will bring it back and make it again. Up to you tell me" several times in front of my customer. It doesn't matter make a new one. What about my time? John does the actual work in the shop, was knowledgeable and answered all of my technical questions promptly. He replied to emails within a day and to voicemails within an hour. He also checked in with me promptly when our estimate needed adjustment after templating. 5 stars for Marcus who came to do the templating, asked relevant questions and pointed out irregularities in our kitchen cabinetry that needed fixing. 5 stars for workmanship.
