I would strongly caution anyone considering Straight Shot for pond excavation or drainage work. In 2022, I hired them to dig an 18-foot-deep pond on my property. Instead of properly routing the overflow to the existing north drainage ditch (which was functioning fine), they chose a closer drainage path because it was more convenient for them and they had other jobs scheduled. That decision resulted in them opening up a drainage ditch that simply flowed right back into the pond. Within two months, the entire pond flooded and caused significant damage. I had specifically warned them about this risk beforehand. After the flooding occurred, they admitted they made a mistake and assured me they would “make it right.” It is now 2026. Highly recommend Straight shot! We have had several projects done by them since first using them last year. They did our culvert, built us a road to where our pole barn is. Did the site prep pad for our pole barn. They fixed our existing aging driveway and did some land clearing in our backyard to address uneven terrain and levelled it out and brought in additional top soil then graded the area so we could plant grass seed. Called to have my Kennel and House drive graded and stone added. I have around 900 ft. of drive and parking. I was given an estimate and a time the job would start. They were on time and had the job mostly done in a day. Came back the second day to rake some areas and clean up. Price was what was quoted. Great job!

They did an awful job with my pond and promised they would fix it and just disappeared when called them back.
