Suncoast Sod Farms Inc.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but as a landscape contractor we will no longer be recommending or buying sod from this company. We placed an order for sod and on the day of pickup we were told that they could not cut one pallet of St. Augustine after being told they could cut it. There was no apology whatsoever. They simply do not care. We have recommended them over the years but no more. Save yourself the head ache and order with someone that actually wants to earn your business.

I’ve gotten sod from different places when their fields were too wet to cut. I can tell you, wait for them if you can. It’s thicker, healthier, and last way longer. Toni and Jerry are the dynamic duo and will take great care of you. I love the way this company is ran. Country, hard working, loyal, honest, and will shoot you straight. 10/10 recommend.

Called Suncoast farms 14 days before needing my sod delivered. Informed them that I needed it delivered on a Friday and that I was taking off of work to lay the 4 pallets of sod because it HAD to be laid that weekend. Called to confirm delivery the the Wednesday before my desired delivery date. Was told by the lady who answered the phone that she had my order written down still and my sod was to be delivered Friday morning. Great! The next day (day before delivery) at 4:30pm, I get a call from the lady who nonchalantly told me that they will not be able to deliver the sod on the promised date and that they could get it to me the following week sometime. I proceeded to tell her that this would not work for me as I would be out of town for the next month and this was the only weekend I had

The most unprofessionally ran business I have ever encountered. I called the office because I believed that maybe one of the six pallets of grass I purchased was a different type of sod . I was asked to send a picture through email and the company would take a look into it and return my call. I waited 4 days without hearing from them. When I called to ask if they received my email I was accused of arguing with the receptionist; who actually hung up the phone on me. I was surprised because that’s not my nature. I called back thinking we were accidentally disconnected. I’m not a stranger to customer service. I have been on both sides of the spectrum.
