I am extremely disappointed in the way Sutherlands in Hot Springs, Arkansas handled our recent furniture purchase. A month ago, we ordered and paid in full for two brand-new couches. Last week, I personally went into the store to verify they had arrived. I was told yes, they were in-store and ready for pick-up anytime. Today, when we arrived to pick up the couches we had already paid for, the staff tried to hand us the display models off the showroom floor. We made it very clear that we did NOT purchase display furniture — we paid for new, unopened couches. Only then were we suddenly told that they did not actually have our couches at all and would need to “order them,” after we had already confirmed in person that they were physically in the store. Great prices and it's very easy to find everything. I found out from a cashier that the company stalks the online prices and they aggressively price their products to beat them! I have yet to find anything online that was cheaper than Sutherlands!! It's true that they're thinly staffed but do you really need a babysitter when you shop? I'm an adult, I can find what I need. If I can't, I'm also an adult who can go find somebody to help me and wait for them to have time to help me. Whatever they're doing, it's working because prices can't be beat. Today, I bought a space heater for $40- it was $59-70 on Amazon. Oh, and this is the view I saw walking out the store. Beautiful. UPDATE: I still shop here after a couple of years and folks are very nice. They're very helpful when I ask for help. O

Let the truth be known that Sutherlands sells cheap wood fencing. I noticed the difference right away and thought I would try it anyway. Big Mistake… I just installed this fencing back in April 2024 , It's now August 2024 and as you can see – it washes out , fades fast , bends , warps , and is falling apart in some areas. I bought Most of my wood fencing from Lowes ( the good fencing that still has darkened brown wood color ) although I spent a few hundred bucks on worthless fencing at Sutherlands and I already need to replace much of it as you can see in the pictures. Update: August 9th 2025 - It’s been a year and I’m still replacing several Sutherlands Fence Boards. I ‘m not sure if they upgraded their fencing since last August , and I have not received any reply or concern

Customer service is lacking in today's world, so it was refreshing to come across Mike and Rodney at this store. They both went above and beyond helping me get a post home safely and securely. I will definitely be back to this store specifically because of their service and effort in helping me.

Sutherlands is my go-to to buy spring flowers and plants! Great customer service always and a great deal on the plants they sell. I believe it was Leslie that helped me this morning in the garden area outside, she knew all the answers and was very helpful. Excellent customer service!
