OVERPROMISED & UNDERDELIVERED We hired Switala’s Construction to tear off and redo two flat roofs that were holding water. Jim, who we worked with, was scatter-brained, cocky, forgetful, and TOLD us what we wanted rather than listening to us. If you like workers who smoke, show up late and leave early, leave a mess in your yard, take three weeks to do a week’s worth of work, put up a tarp so poorly that rain water leaks onto your kitchen ceiling, don’t communicate when they promise to, and overcharge you by $10,000+ then Switala’s Construction is the company for you. Our “before” and “after” pictures are nearly identical – in a bad way. Had a scheduled time for an estimate and Jim canceled last minute. We rescheduled to another day. Jim advised he was running late to the second appointment. Out of my control, another contractor showed up 4 hours earlier than their scheduled appointment. Jim complained that he felt insulted and left without informing me. Not even concluding our interaction with an ‘I’m not interested’ It seemed to me he didn’t feel like getting up on a ladder and used that as an excuse to bail. Not professional.

Jim and his team did a great Job and went above and beyond. Full tear off with new roof, skylights, and gutters. They were very thorough picking up old nails from the property. Even sent a crew back for another sweep for a couple hours the following day. With small children at home that level of care goes a long way.

I cannot say enough good things about Switala's Construction. The entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. During the initial consultation, they took the time to thoroughly assess our needs and explain the best options available. They guided us through choosing the right materials and even dropped off sample pieces and booklets at our house. In addition, the installation crew was outstanding. Their attention to detail was exceptional, and the quality of workmanship was truly impressive.
