We had a great experience with Taozen. Tao was professional, friendly, and informative. Working with him and his team was a delight. Taozen refinished the wood flooring and stairs in our new home and repaired a number areas with patching and blending of new wood into old. I highly recommend Tao. I was skeptical about having our floors refinished, but I’m really glad I did. I shopped around for 10 different quotes from Boston-area companies. Tao stood out for how knowledgeable he was. First, he was clearly knowledgeable. Based on photos alone, he corrected me that the wood was not mahogany (as our home inspector said) but instead Brazilian cherry. I verified that he was correct with the listing agent. No other company did this. Second, he had the lowest quoted price for the job. Third, after I selected him, he was transparent about tradeoffs rather than purely trying to upsell me. We had an excellent experience with Tao and his team refinishing our hardwood floors. The team was professional, communicative, showed up exactly how they said they would, and finished the job on schedule. Tao is very good about giving his professional opinion and things to consider, which was especially nice for us not knowing much about wood floors. It was very apparent his goal was to give a finished job anyone would be happy with and he was always willing to explain anything that needed explaining.
