Terra Insulation

Terra Insulation did an HPwES (the Pepco Home Performance with ENERGY STAR) insulation project at my home eight months ago, but it left several serious deficiencies, restricted attic ventilation, poor indoor air quality, and multiple violations of the contract, manufacturer instructions, the 2021 IECC code, ASHRAE 62.2‑2013, and other industry standards. These issues pose significant risks to my home’s structure and to my household’s health due to heat buildup, moisture accumulation, mold, and inadequate ventilation: 1. Contract Violation: installed short 41‑inch baffles instead of the longer baffles specified in the contract for R‑60 insulation (21.75 inches). As a result, many baffles were buried, rafter vents were blocked, and attic ventilation was severely restricted. 2. 2021 IECC Co

Moses and his team did a fantastic job! They arrived promptly, communicated their plan for the day, and quickly worked through the quote. They were careful to cover their working area as to not damage or dirty our home, and cleaned up after the work was done. They added all new insulation for our townhome, added vents connecting our bathrooms, sealed open gaps in the attic, and added a retaining wall to divide our storage space. I hey showed me photos of all the completed work before signing off. Overall great experience and would highly recommend.

Terra did an energy audit of my house, made the improvements after the blower test was performed, worked with me to explain the details of what WA’s important and why, and came back to inspect the work to confirm home tightness.
