The City Arts Center

My kids enjoyed looking at the Christmas Model Train Display that is put on for free by the Austin Tinplate Trackers. You can tell that a lot of work is put into each section, and they were especially excited about the Harry Potter area. It was very generous of the team to let my girls hold the remotes and each conduct a train. It's a bit of a small area and it was starting to feel crowded the later we stayed. I can understand why a lot of people want to stop in and see this beautifully done exhibit, but there isn't a ton of room to walk around the models. Overall it was a fun visit, and I love that we easily found parking right outside of the center!

Went about ten minutes before closing but shoutout to the staff who let us to see the art. There were so many unique pieces and got to take home a hand crafted vinyl.

My kids really enjoyed the Christmas Model Train exhibit and the fun list of things to find around the little model town. We have also gone in during other times of the year to see beautiful art by local artists. It's a fun place to stop in when you're in Downtown Round Rock.

Check this place out if you have the time and are near. It's super cute and small with a lot of interesting stuff. They change it every 2 months. They also had a lot of fliers.

During the holiday season ArtSpace has a fantastic O-guage train layout set up. If you've got kids, you must take them. Lots of color, sound, and action. For a small donation a child can run one of the trains. Where else can one have so much fun for so little? Even if you're an adult it is worth stopping.
